Betty’s Angels

THE BETTY’S ANGELS HOME in Warren, OH, was established in the 1970s by Betty Strawderman to provide a safe home for children needing long term care. Some of the children are at the Home because they are homeless, their parents are ill, or their parents have serious troubles in their lives due to drugs or alcohol addiction.

CHUM HOLDS a Bake Sale for Betty’s Angels on the second Sunday of every month.  It is faithfully managed by Roseann Myers (husband, Hank, helps, too —the beautiful sign for the sale is his creation), which includes handling of the money and the recruitment of people to donate the delicious baked goods for the sale.

ALL PROCEEDS from the Bake Sale are sent at the end of the month to the Betty’s Angels Fund account at Farmer’s National Bank.  In 2014 CHUM collected $628.24; 2015 — $2,445.00 ($380.00 of this total was specifically for new computers for the children); 2016 — $1,492.00; to date this year/ 2017 — $357.00 .

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THIS OUTREACH MINISTRY.   GOD BLESS YOU.

Note: CHUM has also collected other items for the Home such as bedding and curtains to update the bedrooms.
